Did you know that kids can get anywhere from 5 to 7 colds a year? For toddlers under 2 years old, that number can go up to 10 colds a year. Yikes! If the school year is 8 months long, that means for about 1 to 2 weeks each month, you’ll be spending caring for your sick child. Most adults catch about 2 to 4 colds a year and possibly more if the kids keep bringing home those bugs!
And what about you? The truth is, that when you are living a go-go life, are sleep-deprived, and under-nourished, you’re bound to get a cold or flu more often. And when you do, it’s one thing to call in sick at work, but you can’t call in sick to your family. There’s still mouths to feed, toes to clean, and bedtime stories to tell. You simply don’t have time to “be sick”.
When your baby or young child catch a cold, all your well planned calendar come to a screeching halt. It takes up all of your time and energy to care for them. We worry about how they are feeling, if we are doing the best we can for them, and wonder about what they need next. The truth is that you’ll do whatever it takes to get them healthy again.
Over the counter medications can be helpful by masking the symptoms but most have questionable ingredients and in general we are not always sure if they are even safe to take. There’s a whole other world of natural remedies, but it’s overwhelming and you’re not sure what other remedies are safe to use and when.
During this 4 part course, you’ll learn how to look after your family’s most precious asset, your health!
I created this course from the perspective of someone who couldn’t always take OTCs and married nutrition and age old practices to help alleviate symptoms and boost your immune system naturally.
Here’s an outline of what I’ll be covering:
- In Module 1: The immune System you will understand how your immune system works to help fight off those nasty bugs quicker. We also go over exactly when you need to go see the doctor.
- In Module 2: What to do Before you get a Cold or Flu you will learn ways to build a strong immune system for babies, toddlers, kids and adults so that the whole family can get sick less often.
- In Module 3: What to do During a Cold or Flu I share simple get well routines for you, your babies, and kids so that you can kick that cold’s butt. In here you’ll also find 12 simple and safe remedies and recipes to help fight off the cold or flu with ingredients you probably have on hand.
- In Module 4: What to do After a Cold or Flu you will learn, why it’s important to ease into your regular daily routine and how to make sure we take care of any lingering symptoms.
I know you probably think that natural remedies don’t work because they don’t actually mask symptoms like over the counter medication do.
But here’s the thing.
What you may not realize is that some of those symptoms are signs that our immune system is working. And by constantly suppressing them, you are actually not allowing our immune system to do it’s job … and that means your body is working harder for longer to get over that cold!
And that’s why I teach you first how the immune system works so that you know exactly what to do to support it naturally and where you can strategically use over-the counter medication to feel better. Win-Win!
The cold and flu is something that we all fight against every year, so why not learn strategies you can do so you don’t have to pull out the over the counter medications for every small symptom.
