My Food Philosophy
As a mom you know, you should be feeding your child vegetables and healthy foods.
And I know it’s never easy when someone tells you to choose organic foods, to watch for the artificial colours and avoid preservatives when 90% of their diet comes from packaged foods because it’s the only thing they will eat.
Yet, that’s exactly what I’m about to tell you too. Because it is the truth and you deserve nothing less than the truth from me.I know it may seem like a stretch right now where maybe your starting point is so far away from where you would like to be, but I promise you there is a way to get teach your child to eat all sorts of foods, including healthy ones.
We do the best we can with what we have to move towards eating foods that are healthier today than the foods we ate yesterday.
It takes time, but I promise that together we can make the journey fun and enjoyable.
This is my personal food philosophy "WHAT" TO EAT
Yours might be different, but I want you to know what you can expect from me.
My Philosophy on “HOW” to approach feeding a child
Getting your child to eat new foods is the biggest struggle many of us parents face.
Combined with my studies as a holistic nutrition, my training in feeding therapy, and my real life experience, I have a very special approach to feeding your little ones using a unique system called Little S.T.E.P.S. to get your child to be an adventurous eater.
In other words, my strategies are non-punitive, respectful, and they build on your child’s feeding skills.
You will never find me suggesting strategies that are punitive in nature, demeaning to your child, or force them so much outside their comfort zone that they meltdown.
I believe the typical advice of “they will eat when they are hungry”, “children won’t starve themselves”, or “they will grow out of it” to be untrue and unsafe. It’s also dangerous and not backed by the latest research.
Let’s face this next chapter of your book with joy in our hearts.
